Strange thing happened today. I had a 24 frames roll loaded in my R2a and the frame counter was at 18... the next time I looked at it, it read 30. I fired off 2 shots since then and the film seemed to advance properly. My frame counter is now up to 32, but by my reckoning I should be only be at 20-22, depending when the frame counter jump occurred.

I'll take two more shots and then rewind the film. Hopefully resetting the counter will fix the problem.

Has this happened to anybody else? 😕

Got a chance to open the back of the camera today (in a changing bag) abd found that the cassette was fully rewound... but it only took me a few spins of the crank to hear the film enter the cassette. The counter read 36 when I rewound.

I've sent it the film for developing. I'll let you know what happens. Maybe the film was never taken up by the spool, and I've just spent 2 weeks thinking I had burned some wonderful silver, whereas I'll end up with blanks...

It's enough to drive a guy DIGITAL!🙁

Sob! I was shooting blanks

Sob! I was shooting blanks

I supposed it had to happen sooner or later after so may years of photography, but I can't shake that nagging feeling that I had captured some really priceless shots on my ghost film!

This will become for me the photographic equivalent of a fishing story ...you should have seen it, the AMAZING shots I took, only you can't 🙂
