Annoyingly, the rf patch has come slightly out of vertical alignment on my R2A.

googling around, this seems to be not uncommon.

While it seems to be a do-able DIY job to realign, I don't want to end up making a hash of things and will probably get it done by a competent repair technician.

Apart from the "usual suspects" of Newton Ellis and Robert White, who else in the UK has a (recent) good reputation for rf repairs and adjustments?

thanks

thanks for the tips both of you, I'll investigate

@ronnies - Location doesn't matter too much, I can't imagine I'll find someone within walking distance :) -

@thegman - CRR aren't taking repairs for some months yet unfortunately

I contacted half-a-dozen companies and was given quotes ranging between £50 - £180 ... I've decided to plump for Newton Ellis - by no means cheap, but it's hard to find anyone saying anything negative about them, plus they sound reassuringly knowledgeable when I talked to them (even to the point of describing how badly the rangefinder adjustment is designed on the R2A!)
