R2C and infinity lock

A question for the group:

I picked up a R2C to shoot my Contax lenses when not using my IIa. I also picked up the VC 25/4 -- and when mounted, the infinity lock does not engage when at infinity. Is this normal? I sent a note to Stephen, but I know he's busy - so I thought someone would know. It seems to focus fine - but if it's defective, I want to deal with it now.

yes, that's normal. normal with all lenses that use the outer bayonet (lens mount).

Again...yes that's how the external mount lenses work. I for one like that much better than the infinity lock feature.
