R2M shutter noise

Hi,
have any of you compared the noise of the shutter of a R2M to other cameras? I'd like to find a camera I can use during concerts (classical), a metered M is too expensive for me at the moment so I'm considering that alternative.

Hi Stephane,
Well, it's somewhat relative. A R2M will be more quiet than an SLR, but a Leica M will be more quiet than an R2M. I have owned a Bessa R and an R3M as well as a M2 and M6. To me, in a quiet place, as in a concert hall, the Leica M's are significantly quieter. A good used meterless M might be an option? Also, though the optics may not be as good, perhaps a fixed lens camera with a leaf shutter could be an option?

The Ms are quieter unless you are using an M8!
That shutter is noisy!

ah it's why Mr. Gandy was saying "the shutter noise is similar to a Leica M8". Since I've never compared a M and a M8 (you'll say, "again a Leica-tough even if he has never used one! He doesn't even consider the M8 is a M!" 😛) I can't really realise. Thanks a lot!
