Hi,

I was wondering wether it would make sense to get the 35 Ultron with the R3A (and use the 40mm guidelines... ).

Can anyone point me to some samples of the 35 Ultron?

thanks...

Personal experience and opinion here - take it with a grain of salt.

I really like the 35 Ultron. Very sharp and I thought it was the perfect size lens to balance out the R2. Nothing not to like about it.

The problem with the R3, though, is that the framelines are really up against the edges of the viewfinder. With a 35, there will be parts of the frame that you will not see - to me, that's a big enough problem that I won't use a 35 with it.

For samples from the Ultron 35, I've got many in my gallery (along with the 15/4.5 and 75/2.5).

From what I can see in that gallery, the 35 ultron looks sweet.

I figured it might not be the best match for the r3a so I might just wait for the r2a to drop or else i might head to my favorite secondhand camera store where there's an M6 calling out my name...
I know, it doesn't have AE but the viewfinder is fantastic and the shutter is so quiet .
It's a bit battered (cosmetically speaking) but it's not too expensive (i think)... 800 euros.

Ahhh, the dilemma's of camera-buying...
I really thought I would never go back to film but I really am missing a small camera... wouldn't a full frame digital m-type RF be nice, huh.
