Does shutter speed go up and down at 1 full stop, 1/2 stops or 1/3 stops interval? I read that Zeiss Ikon goes up and down by 1/2 stops? How is it for Voigtlander?

Would this finer interval allow you to better expose your photos than mechanic cameras whose shutter speed goes up and down by 1 stop interval?

The shutter speed dial goes in full stops so it's either, for example 1/125 or 1/250 with nothing in between.

When on Automatic the shutter speed is stepless so you may have a speed such as 1/175.

Is there significant difference between base length of R3A, Zeiss Ikon and M? Let's say that I use mostly 50MM at very near F1.5. Will I gain significant advantage by shelling out for Zeiss Ikon or even M, with the larger base length?

CameraQuest says "AE Selected shutter speeds are stepless 1/2000th to 8 seconds. The LED speeds indicated in the viewfinder are rounded off."

Yes.
