Radu Lesaru @ 3r Camera? Anyone familiar with him?

I need some repair work done and there is one recommendation given here. Before I send a camera off - anyone else have experience to share about him or 3R Camera?

Radu has done good jobs for me on-
- CL: CLA & recalibration of meter to take non-mercury cells;
- M3: shutter & film transport repair & CLA
- Alpa 6b: shutter repair & CLA
- Repair of autodiaphragm on Macro Switar 1.8

His speciality is Alpa; but I've found he's also very competent with Leica RFs; and he has an optical bench. He's a one-man show & usually quite busy but if you want a job turned round quickly he'll accommodate you; e-mails generally answered promptly. Workshop located in Flushing/ Queen's, NY

Thanks - I did see your recommendation David, I was hoping to hear from some others as well before sending it off. I spoke to him on the phone and he seems extremely nice and was willing to answer the questions as I had.

Its good to see you actually had several items repaired by him. I think I will send it out tomorrow.

Yes, very familiar with Radu

He has restored / CLA'ed an Alpa Standard and black 6c for me.

He ran the Alpa repair service for Karl Heitz when it was the importer for Alpa

He and one other person are the only ones trusted by Alpa afficionado's.

And he has provided me advise for my own restorations.

I trust him absolutely.
