Rangefinder Black Bar question

New to the forum, and to Rangefinders. Received my Voigtlander Bessa R3A and Leica 40mm f/2 yesterday and shot a roll of superia 400. Got it developed by Walgreens. Just wanted to test it out basically took a bunch of shots around the house. About three of them had this on the right side. I checked the negatives and it looks like it might be on them as well, but it is really hard to tell exactly what it is on the negative. What could this be? I'm assuming mis alignment by Walgreens. I usually send my film to PPI or Indie, so hopefully it just is Walgreens. Any information would help. Thanks everyone! 🙂

Far as I recall, the Bessa R3A has a vertically traveling shutter so it can't be shutter bounce. Most likely a printing machine misregistration.

Check the negs with a magnifier. You should be able to detect the true edge of the exposed area.

I'd guess at a printing problem too. The vertical shutter does suggest against a camera problem, and development issues wouldn't be frame specific.

Sounds good, I really appreciate the help. This is my first Rangefinder camera, so I am completely new to everything. I'm in love so far with everything that rangefinders have to offer from awesome quality to lightweight and easy to carry around. Thanks guys! 🙂
