oh, are we doing another book?

actually, I was in the process of writing up a status report on my photoblog an hour ago, but all hell broke loose in the office as they announced we're closing at noon

the status is.. the book is nearly done.. there will be two photos per contributor.. it's all coming together quite well.. mostly just tweaking the details

if you've seen the first book, this one will be twice as thick.. about 230 pages, give or take.. and our initial estimate for cost is looking to be just under $40 a copy

I hope to have it all wrapped up within a week, and get it off to Lulu so it will be available in the beginning of March, as planned

No, you are definitely allowed to buy the book when it is ready.

When we decided to include as many people was we could we knew that this book was going to be a huge project. It is coming close to an end though.

I have to offer my thanks and support to all of the hard work that Ray and Brett have been doing over the past months editing and formatting text, reviewing and prepping images, and now bringing it all together with a format into the final document. I have been very visible here and communicating with all of the participants via email, but Ray and Brett are the ones who are really doing all of the time consuming work. They are making it happen.

So, like vladhed I have been practicing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song, we will be able to sing it soon.

Yes, we will be publishing through Lulu, and what paper, I don't know if we have even considered that yet. I will say same as last time as a default, though we will have to look at the first submission to make sure we do it correctly.

I assume that the front cover will be similar (but different) to the first book.. the back cover.. well, that still needs to be determined.. I'll be putting some serious work in on it this weekend, so expect to be updated in a few days.. PM me any suggestions or comments, and I'll take them into consideration, assuming time will permit
