Hi all. My Oly35 SP when at infinity seems to show off focus in the rangefinder. Can anyone suggest a good place in the UK to have it serviced?

Take care and happy christmas.

Larky: I don't know the UK repair services to recommend, but the (horizontal) RF adjustment is very easy.

Open the back of the camera. Just above the top film rail you will see a small screw, (slot head) roughly midship. Carefully (because it's easy to drop and lose) remove this screw. Inset through the screwhole is the RF horizontal adjutment screw. You'll need a small jeweler's screwdriver to reach it.

Set the lens to infinity. Adjust the set screw until the RF patch is properly aligned when you view something truly at infinity. A very distant tree or building serves. Should be easy enough. If the camera needs other servicing, then such an adjustment would be included, of course. If not, this should set you right.

Ta for the advice I may give it a go. I also noticed some refusal to take pictures yesterday so I think a new battery and/or service is needed anyway. So I am still on the hunt for somebody who is known to be good.

Take care, A.
