I posted something on this topic about a year ago. When I took my R-D1 on safari to Tanzania, I found it very difficult switching between the big Canon with zoom telephoto and the all-manual R-D1 - I kept fumbling and forgetting to set things correctly.
Since I wanted to use the rangefinder for wide angles, this year I brought along the little CV 25/4. By setting it on F8 and focus near infinity, I could basically point and shoot, which reduced fumbling a lot. Here is an example from the Busanga Plains in Zambia. Impressive lens - I cloned out one small bit of flare and that's it.
