Dear all,

I calibrate my bessa r3a when i was wearing contact lenses (I am myopic). Everything was fine.

Then in the same time, i switch to glasses because i cannot support more longer the contact lenses. Also, i fully stop to use the bessa, giving place for my rolleiflex, rollei 35 and xa3. Cameras without focus patch.

Yesterday i tested the r3a and noticed that the rangefinder needed to be calibrated. So i did it again. But now, i cannot succeed. If i press more or less my eye against the camera, i see the patch moving from right alignement to misalignement.

Is that normal ? How do you use your camera with your glasses ? It s not a big invonvenient as i scale focus a bit but it s just the fact to see the patch nicely and feel like my camera is fine and don t need any services.

Thanks in advance.

I can't use my glasses with a camera with an eyepiece. I use a diopter eyepiece to correct my vision thru the viewfinder and take my glasses off. My left eye needs a -2.75 to correct for distance so the closest is -3. Your Bessa has round eyepieces and has the same thread size as Nikon FM, FE, etc (not the same size as the Nikon F2, Nikkormat). Maybe it will work for you?

Thanks a lot. I will try it. Issu is that i need to remove the glasses while shooting and put them back just after because, without my glasses i am lost completely...

Anyway thanks for your help
