Rangefinder?

I may be under a miss apprehension, is this forum for rangefinder only?
The reason for asking is that i see photos here that are not.

This forum is primaily about rangefinders, but boundaries cannot be too rigid as this damages people's souls.

Colorfull way to put it (400UC? 🙂 ) but essentially true. We've never made much of fuss here about the occasional discussion of TLRs, SLRs, etc and the posting shots from such. And keeping it gently like that is a good thing. IMHO and all that.

We have been down this before. We have forums for P&S cameras. Posting photo's in galleries and in attachments has been done with all types of cameras.

However, if you go too far in the direction of turning this into a general photography forum, or even a general non-SLR photography forum, you can expect occasional "gentle" carping from dogmatists such as myself, who feel that one Photo.net is enough and we don't really need to turn RFF into another one!

I was looking to get away from all the newbie's who have suddenly become photographers because they bought a digital P&S camera. I've been shooting with my Leica's since 1964. Have had and still have all kinds of cameras but when i walk around my M3 with colapsible 50mm is always with me, usually loaded with PlusX or TriX. I'm also getting sick of the fact that every photo posted no matter how bad is beautiful. If i post anything else here it would probably be from my R8.

Yes, GAS is a problem. On the last count six rangefinders, three P&S (counting the scale focus Rollei 35 and Contessa as P&S), one TLR and four SLRs.
I've sinned with two pictures from a Contax TVS in my gallery, more often in threads but I try to keep it under controll.
