However, there is always hope that one day one of us will stumble upon on of these at garage sale

The new $16,000 olive MP.

to use a cliche, it is what it is... a one owner 1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 428 Cobra Jet is about to hit the auction block. With just 8,531 miles on the odometer, the car is painted in Black Jade and is in nearly perfect condition. The owner died with no living heirs and no will, so it's going up on the auction block.

probably the leica equivalent of a black paint original mp-3

My dad had a 67 GT500 KR, he sold it for $10k when I was in high school. He let me buy an original 440 6-pack 1970 Plymouth 'cuda with a shaker hood and 4 speed transmission. It was not a Shelby, but it cost me only $3000 at the time. Needless to say, I sold it for more.

Looking at the black paint Leicas on eBay, I have mine listed there right now. But so far there have been no bites, cheap as my asking price is. Good luck to those who are trying to get big money for theirs,

think of it this way: collectible cameras have historical value. they shouldn't be used, but rather preserved.

But way, way, way faster! And if I could actually afford it, which I can't, I wouldn't collect it either. I'd be driving it before the ink on the check was even dry. 😀
