In the mean time others may enjoy this site which I have been plodding through. Its organised by decade which is OK so far as it goes though I would prefer a useful key word cloud to supplement it.

When I worked at ABN AMRO in Chicago I found that La Salle Bank (they had just purchased them) had a world class collection of photos. ABN AMRO sold their USA entities to Bank of America, makes me wonder where they are now.

U-Boat 110 was rammed after attacking a merchant convoy near Hartlepool in 1918. Later she was salvaged with an order to restore her to fighting state.
