Thanks for sharing.
I wouldn't call them rare, as there are plenty of books with Wartime Kodachrome photos about. It's just that people don't expect original WW2 (or even WW1) photos to be in colour.

Dave, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Great photos from an awful period of time. I can remember, as a young child during the fifties, how the aftermath of that war & the Korean war permeated the life of my father, (he enlisted in the Navy in 1944 & was stationed at N.A.S. Pearl Harbor as a underwater wielder still cleaning up the wreckage of the 41 attack) and the military community at large. I have so many of his Kodachrome's & B/W images from that time.

Dave, I will work on posting some of them, they are truly amazing. When my father secured living quarters for us, my mother & I flew out of San Francisco Bay on the Mars seaplane & landed in Pearl Harbor, pretty cool adventure.

What a treasure!!!' You are indeed lucky, and we already appreciate your willing to share. It is a bit of work, but those two locations should have given beautiful backdrops for such an interesting family experience!!!
