Interestly enough, the screw mount Minolta rangefinders actually outsold Nikon Rangefinders during the Occupied Japan period.

Didn't know the last had lever wind...I have an earlier, ca. '48 with the 24 x 34 (maybe 32?) frame which had deteriorated curtains. Still can't figure out how the 4 post type shutter works...meanwhile I'm enjoying the 45/2.8 Rokkor.
