RD-1 and 35mm Summicron 4th?

I am about to buy a 35mm Cron 4th for my RD-1, but I saw the post by LCT in

The Epson RD-1 lens database states that the 35mm Summicron is compatible, but does not specify versions.

Has anyone successfully used one on the RD-1?

I use a 4th version and it focuses ok. Nice compact lens.

I have a problem with my 3rd series Cron close up and also with my friends 4th series Cron.

which has some examples. It is still very usable as it only causes problems close up and at wide apertures, but is annoying.
