Nice pictures. #2 and #5 work best for me, with #5 being the best.
Are there any details in the highlights?


That Canon lens was Garry Winogrand's workhorse.
 
I was thinking the same thing. The highlights seem "cooked" a bit, although the blacks are holding their own. Maybe it's my monitor ...

I like the shots, notwithstanding my comment. Thanks for sharing!
 
Highlights look blown to me too. Easiest way to tell is to look at them in the R-D1 with the monitor set to show blown highlights. The R-D1 raw software is very good at recovering blown highlights, give it a try. I like the atmosphere of the photos. Very reminiscent of old-time voyages of discovery.

I agree with you, the highlights are a little blown, on my other LCD screen there was more details. Anyway I like the "film" look of this association (RD-1 + old Canon lens)
