They say the RD-1 has conservative framelines, making the 35 framelines, almost perfect for 40mm lenses... if this is so, what are the "perfect" lenses for the 28 and 50 framelines? (35 and 60?)

You can work it out from my website, with a bit of measuring and maths: http://www.richcutler.co.uk/r-d1/r-d1_04.htm. The examples were all from real lenses, so are pretty accurate representations.
Note that the 40mm lens will be outside the framelines at close focus...

@Rich: I tried, but I can't figure it out! haha... (Just a week old owner so I'm not yet that well-versed with the ways of the RD-1
) Will try to decipher it and figure out which FL lens best matches the given framelines...

Yes, I use the 28 lines most with my 35mm lenses, and when I used to have Konica 60mm the 50 lines were great.
Now with my 50mm lenses, I just frame tightly and it works alright. Practice improves your sense of what will be in the picture. I prefer not to Chimp.

hmmm, thanks... I'd rather not chimp too, but until I get the hang of the RD-1's framelines, I guess I've got to
