Rd1s- memory/card writting problems

Hi, a friend of mine in Spain tells me he has found an epson rd1s at a 300 euros with a problem writting data in the meory card for what i understood.

He asks me wether it can be solved or the cmaera is just gone for good.

I don´t know anythng about these issues so i can´t give him an answer.

So the electronics experts please advise me and/or give me a place where my friend can go or send the camera for repair or quotation.

If it's intermittent black frames your friend is asking about, tell him to get some new NP-80 batteries, preferably something with around 1800mAh capacity.

I owned the RD1 from 2007-2012.
It's a great little camera but a bit finicky.
I could only use older slowish Sandisk 2gig sd cards
Newer/faster cards would cause errors or simply not be recognized by the camera.

Thank you guys, i also had one some years ago it´s terrific, great camera and beautiful with it´s dials needles!!!

I´ll ask for more details on this matter beacuse it could be what you say.
