Hello
Dumb question, probably:
I have the opportunity to buy a chrome CZ Tessar 2,8 /50 that is separated in two parts

The glass is clean and the diaphragm is working well. No parts are missing.
My question: Is the re-assembling of these two halves a specialist job or should I buy it and try to do it myself (I have no experience is shimming or other techniques involved in lens adjustment).
Thank you for your opinions
Joao

Sorry, I know nothing about this lens in particular. But I'd be cautious, there probably is a reason why it was taken apart, and a reason why it hasn't been put together by the current owner. And there could be new issues due to it laying around and being shipped in parts, such as dirt getting into the grease or the somewhat fragile aluminium helical getting dented, which would be very hard to repair.

you can go to YouTube, your lens model + assembly/repair/other keyword. if you find same model, and following video seems possible, then buy the parts and try repeat the process. I would not pay much for those parts in any case.
