0-series Leica No. 107 (1923)
This is the 7th camera of the Leica 0-series. Only approx. 21 of these cameras were produced to test the market in 1923, 2 years before the commercial introduction of the Leica A. The camera is in excellent and fully working condition, all parts including the paintwork are original, only the folding finder has been replaced by the later Galilean finder as usual. It is the only camera known with "Germany" engraving on the top plate. The factory record indicates delivery to New York for patent applies. This means that this camera is not only one of the major rarities existing, it is also the first Leica being exported. This is the second 0-series Leica ever being offered in a public auction and the unique chance to buy the most important collectable Leica camera.
Estimate: 280.000-320.000 Euro
Starting price: 140.000 Euro

I think that the W.H. Leica IIIC K that`s been seen here at RFF from Southern Germany will also be featured at this auction?
The "normal"? LTM market`s flat now, have to wait and see if the Grey IIIC`s
even reach reserve price?

Exactly old man, everything else is trifle in comparison. This one makes even a Luxus look downright proletarian, although those are far more common in the Russian zone,..or at least that is what I am told...

I once knew a fellow who's uncle had a W.H. K ... interesting how these things tend to crop up when you least expect them to, ... especially if no one knew that you used to be a photographer...
Everyone should be careful in a city like, Vienna.
