You might also consider HC-110 for 4x5. Also has excellent shelf life. Used a lot of it with 4x5 in newspapers yeaaars ago.

I have looked at it and I think it will be the next one I try to learn. But first I want to learn enough to be comfortable with one of the real classic developers.

After HC-110, I'm thinking I'll probably try Pyrocat-HD. That should be in a year or two the way I approach these things... 😀
