Well our first ever Rebirth Workshop is over, good to be home but what an inspiring week. Still trying to recover a bit, drove 7hrs Friday evening to get back to NOLA and then shot a wedding yesterday so taking some time to edit and relax today.

Here are a few images from the trip. These few were all captured between 6am and 7:30am. Rarely do I get up that early to photograph but I had a Chicago photographer with me so we braved the early morning Delta dawn to create.

All M8 images with Zeiss 21/2.8. There was an M9 at Rebirth thanks to Atlanta based photographer Rachel Lacour (Leica user, check her work out for sure). M9 images to follow.

Judging from your work, the emphases of the workshop, was on minimalist photography. I happen to like a simplistic image. I believe this type of photography is more about a feeling than it is technical. There is something about using one lens on a rangefinder that keeps the whole experience as simple as possible, therefor the image like the M8 is complex and basic at same time. Bill

0017 and 0019 are the ones I prefer because of the out of times feeling. For sure noctilux and m9 are an interesting combo in the right hands.

Got the invite from the Shack Up Inn but had to miss the workshop as I was in Cuba. But had to let you know that I had been through Webb MS numerous times, never made a photo there though. I found Rosedale much more photographic. Ditto, Clarksdale or Helena AK.

Nice photos, but I have to add that I have no interest in what equipment was used. It is only the image that counts, not the tool used.
