Can we build a list of the dealers that contacted their customers for the recall?

Yes, the dealer from whom I purchased the M8 is ignorant about the details too. They are a reputable establishment: I suspect Leica is communicating poorly with them just like they are communicating poorly with us.
Let's all cool our jets: I suspect we'll all know more next Wednesday, 6 December, when Leica said to register your M8 ownership on their site.
(I've already sent my "filter request form" to Leica USA in the mail. Have you?)
