Receiced filters. Late.

Even though I returned my M8 it seems that Leica didn't deem it necessary to cancel my filter order. Today I received both e39 a black and e46 silver uv/ir cut filters. Better late than never I suppose. Suppose I'll try get rid of them on e-bay or something.

How did you return a camera that had been registered? Maybe you can "return" the filters as well to that dealer since the next owner will need them and they kind of belong with that camera. JMO.
 
i agree. technically, they're not yours anymore... realistically, i doubt leica will know if you sell them (and will not even bother to get after you), and youre returned M8 has probably already been sold to another customer and re-registered to that owner. leica probably doesn't have the proper controls in place to remedy issues like yours yet.

Yeah, you're right. I went through a few M8's before giving up on it so wasn't sure what was happening. I've taken the filters back and let the Leica guys know I was sent them.
 
How does Leica ship them to US customers?

I'll be living elsewhere by the time Leica probably gets around to sending them, so unless they come via USPS I doubt they'll be forwarded.

Doesn't matter anyway, I guess. I already bought the filters I needed.

Are you located in Europe? It seems like the delay in delivering the filters is more on this side of the pond, in the US with other words. I registered early and still have not received my filters. :mad:
 
I haven't received mine either...I have a few, but I would like the ones I ordered...I am impatient.
 
I still haven't received mine yet either. One is an E39 which the web site says would begin to be sent out in early April. The other is an E43 which is some months away yet. I too find it puzzling that some dealers have them for sale and we haven't gotten ours yet. I registered 12/23/06.
 
some people have begun receiving their filters in Korea. I bought my M8 i think late January so i don't expect mine real soon. i'm guessing early purchasers are getting theirs first or else mine should have been here already like some of the other people in Korea
 
I sent an email to Solms the beginning of this week and was told they were waiting for more filters to arrive, but they were planning to send them out to me next week. I registered in February, but it sounds like people have been waiting a lot longer than I have, so I'm a bit sceptical about their anticipated ship date.
