Recommend a UV filter

Recommend a UV filter. For use on a Leica M10 with a CV 35mm lens with a 43mm filter diameter.

I have been using B&W now for some years. They seem to work and are not outrageously expensive, just moderately so.

It shouldn't really matter that much, all modern filters are multi coated. I personally favoured the skylight filters over UV due to the slight warning up effect. A UV filter makes more sense on film than on digital as film is more sensitive to UV light (haze during sunny days).

Leica 13032. Has an internal filter thread and fits well my Nokton 35/1.4 SC v2 with or without hood.

I like B&W on some lenses as they have brass mounts and don't get 'sticky' when removing due to the difference in metals, I also use Nikon NC filters but my goto are Hoya UV after reading this:

My go to is also Hoya HMC filters and also a set of Pentax SMC filters in 43mm fit (originally I think for Pentax ultra telephoto lenses).

I totally agree with the B+W filters. UV, clear, neutral, whatever type. I don't think UV actually does much on digital but B+W UV filters are still good protection for the front element. Basic or Master, doesn't matter. They are excellent glass with excellent multi-coating.

When I was buying filters for my lenses I went to the DXO(?) site where they test lenses to see what they had to say about filters.
Hoya HMC's are where I spent my money. They didn't seem to have as much effect on picture distortion if I recall as some of the others out there.
