hi
i would like to get some recommendation on advice on devices to view slides.
i am not looking for a slide projector.
something small and handholdable

i remembered when i was little, my dad had sort of a device that has a magnifying glass and a light source,.
the slides would sit between them for viewing.
and each time i move the handle in and out, it would switch slides and drop the one old down into a container ..

does anyone know what i am talking about??? 😕 😕
thanks in advance!

I have a little battery-powered viewer. Putting the slide in the slot turns on the light.
This viewer is similar.

thanks!
this is almost exactly what i am looking for.
except i dont want to load each slide one by one.
trying to find a way to change very quickly (but yet doesnt involve electronics)

keep the suggestions and links coming it
really appreciate it!

I have on of these:

And it's the coolest little slide viewer I've ever seen! Picked mine up for $3 at a flea market. Still had the original, 1950's era batteries in it (they had paper coverings). Surprisingly, they hadn't corrided and when I put a fresh set in, it came back to life!

The viewing quality of this little gem is a site to behold! It's bright, clear, and gives an almost 3D quality to your slides. Best three bucks I've ever spent!
