Recently I ended GAS (ha ha) and bought the Leica M-A. What a beaut. Back home in film. Recommend me a new strap and where to order it. See below, as presently I am using the legendary Leica Strap. Not bad but I'd like to see what my fellow RFF'ers come up with. Obviously if you show photos of your recommended strap on your rig that would be great.

I really like the leather strap that came with my Monochrom. Wraps around the wrist with more stiffness than the great current Leica standard (above), and that's even when it's run-in. Bought a Leica brand leather strap in brown for my IIIf: same deal. Hangs off the wrist distributing the weight across all the turns of the leather evenly it feels like.

PS Bryan Peterson's classic on exposure.

K, I like the two harrybenz.com straps i use. My favourite is this one, made for my '34 iii (which i no longer have).... i now use it on my M4 and it's light, narrow, and doesn't slip off my shoulder. HB uses mostly water buffalo hide. It's wide enough to not cut into my neck, and narrow enough to use looped around my wrist. (B strap/ 'skinny' width/fixed custom length)

I like this:
This beautiful broken-leather strap is designed for your Leica RF. The classic look is reminiscent of old world craftsmanship. The soft interior protects your neck during those hot summer days.

Very InnovativeI have recently bought about 100 feet of milspec paracord. I trusted it with my life under the chute when I served, now I trust my cameras with it. A double loop and a double fisherman's knot does the trick for me.

Like many of us, I've been all 'round Robin Hood's barn on the subject of straps. I'm almost embarrassed to admit how many I've tried. I move my cameras around a lot when I'm out shooting. They hang around my neck, over a shoulder, or with the strap wrapped around my wrist, so I prefer I simple strap, and I keep coming back to the basic Nikon AN4. They make them in Nikon's black and yellow striped version and plain black. I have five or six of these on various cameras. I like the elegant taper and the leatherette patch sewn into the wider part, which gives it a little friction for when the camera is hung on my shoulder, yet is still thin and flexible enough that I can easily wrap it round my wrist when I just want the camera in my hand.

I am like you. I have a million straps all over the place. AS a current Nikon film user, I know and love those Nikon straps. Not sure why my the image I'm trying to post won't show up, but you can find the strap I was trying to illustrate.

My current favorite for reasonably-sized cameras is the Simplr F1 (https://simplr.us/product/f1-camera-strap/):

Check out McMurray and Blond on Etsy. I use their straps on both M and R Leicas.

That paracord looks surprisingly nice, overall all that gear looks very nice. Especially the matching olive NATO* on, is that a Seiko SKX007? Classic!
*edit: not quite a NATO, a paratrooper elastic band I think?

I really like the one you have. I use that on all my Ms.
