I've been very pleased with cost, materials, and final product of Stroppa straps. https://stroppa.pl/product-category/camera_straps/?c=cee236228e9a
Both times the strap I ordered was shipped within a day or two and arrived within two weeks.
I also like the Simplr F1Ultralight -- https://simplr.us/product/f1ultralight-camera-strap/
And I've done a homemade paracord strap too. Doesn't look that spiffy, but it's very functional and was super affordable (probably less than $2 since I had plenty of paracord laying around).
Lots of good options. The worst purchase for me was an expensive "handmade" leather strap from a famous "artisan" maker. The glue came loose within a couple of months of light duty. Utter waste.

That paracord looks surprisingly nice, overall all that gear looks very nice. Especially the matching olive NATO* on, is that a Seiko SKX007? Classic!
*edit: not quite a NATO, a paratrooper elastic band I think?
Oh yes, a rip off of Erika's straps actually, I might have to get one of the proper stuff when this wears out.
On that note, verrry close, but no, it's not the 007 - the 7548 actually! Quartz, and very very hardy indeed. It was my grandfather's daily beater, and now it's mine to continue beating

This "legendary Leica strap" is crap. I have it with, on my M-E since 2016. Nylon is wearing out or how is it called. Getting hairy?
Slab of bike tube with neck massaging bums. The person who designed those lugs is total schmuck. Crappy plastic tends to slide up and idiotic fasteners some how goes off from the lugs on themselves. I replaced them with normal rings after catching my camera going down twice.
Here is one which looks like normal strap:

The FAB handcrafted minimalist leather strap is so far my favourite strap for leica M. It’s everything you need (soft, slim, non bulky, wraps around the wrist nicely, smells amazing) and nothing you don’t need.

Otherwise I also like the rope straps. Artisan and artist is the best but fairly expensive.

I like the slender light-grey leather straps that came with Kyocera/Contax cameras, and have bought several of these straps from KEH. Economical, comfortable, and classy looking!

I'll admit it's a personal bias, but i don't care for the extra little bumper flaps for leather straps. Harry Benz has a cool way of sewing his minimalist straps so they're thick enough at the ends, so the split rings don't touch the camera.

My mother brought me same strap and M-E 220 in the same box. It is not her fault this particular Leica strap is crap. Not yours either.

Lance straps now with all of my Leica and the Sony since I can turn them quickly into a wrist strap.

Always best to go with handed-down heirlooms when you can, watches like cameras can be expensive money pits but if you get one with deeper meaning, that more than counteracts the online buzz when a new watch releases! I've gotten a few watches but nipped the habit in the bud when my wife bought me an automatic Orient this year for my birthday. I don't have any handed-down cameras unfortunately, but my father gave me his Buck folding hunter knife when I was a teenager and that's been enough of an EDC heirloom for me.
And apparently you can even imbue paracord with some added meaning, as you adroitly showed us!

I tend to use the original Leica strap which is excellent.
But for style purposes on my M8 which has a brown leather half case by Mr. Zou (also excellent, especially for the price) I use a brown leather strap by "cam-in" which more or less (but not quite) matches the case. I actually prefer that the strap is a bit darker as it looks less "fussy" this way but is still close enough to be stylish. It is similar to the first one depicted below.
The other strap I have tried, thinking it looks excellent (and certainly it is, in quality terms) is a woven "rope" strap of the sort but maybe not the brand depicted in the photo below. The problem with mine was that it is not supple enough but instead is rather inflexible and a little rigid which made it less pleasant to use in practice. Maybe it would soften up with use but I ended up just not using it for my Leica instead. And maybe other brands are more supple.

lance straps for me as well...I love a round strap and lance makes a good one...I like the quick release version best...the do custom lengths at no extra charge and they come in 2 different widths if you prefer a slightly thinner one for a light camera...

I don't like the Leica staps since I've had these plastic caps come loose. I don't like the leather straps either since they get moldy and take-up too much space when traveling with more than one camera in a bag. My favorite strap is the Domke 1" strap with swivel quick release. They come in navy blue, black and tan and you can take-off the straps when traveling. They're also cheap. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/135529-REG/Domke_741_6NY_1_Web_Camera_Strap.html Cheers, OtL
