I went to school in New Brunswick 30 years ago. I don't remember any camera stores in the area though. The closest places I know about are located Wilmington Delaware. I don't think you want to drive two hours though. Have you tried checking the Princeton area? There is usually a decent camera store in most college towns. If not, you could still visit the Triumph Brewpub.

I live in Princeton. There is a camera store here that does sell film, darkroom supplies, etc., called New York Camera (I think that is the name). Not sure if they are a photo lab though. There is a photo lab called Image Photo. Not sure if they do BW. I personally dev the film in my bathroom.

Check out Taylor Photo, located in Princeton:

I've had black and white 120 developing and printing done with them, and I've been very satisfied with the results. Never tried 35mm, though. Developing costs for 120 are pretty expensive ($6.50), but I'm not sure how their other rates are...
Worth checking out. Let me know if you do!

Mark you have an objection to mailing film? I found A&I Labs in LA relatively inexpensive and good quality, they used XTOL for everything.

There's a place called Photo Plus in the Plainsboro Shopping Plaza at Schalks Crossing and Scudders Mill roads.
They can do E-6. Not sure about b/w. I was always pleased with their work.
See the map
It has phone numbers listed, so you could give them a ring.
A mail order company that I use is Dan's Camera City in Allentown. Turnaround time is about a week.
If you see yourself doing a lot of b/w, you could always try this end of it. B/W processing is very simple and not too expensive.
