My old scanner, a Cancan 8400f does not work on my Macbook air with El Capitan. No driver for that OS is available.
So I'm looking for a new flatbed scanner with a light in the lid so it can scan 135 and 120 film like my old one. My budget is around $100. Any recommendations? Thanks!

If you keep an eye on the Epson Store clearance center you might find a V55 or V600 for around $100.
You might find a decent used V500 on ebay or craigslist...

Downloaded Vuescan.
But when I plug the scanner into the computer and turn on the scanner, nothing happens as the computer doesn't sense the scanner. I tried a different cord too.
