Recommendation for dealer

This is an unsolicited recommendation.

I received my Moskva 5 and FED 3 Friday. I bought them thru Ebay from asr-photo, also know as alex-photo.

I highly recommend this person if you are looking for russian cameras. He responded quickly to all e-mails. The cameras are in good working order. He shipped them on Oct. 26 (and sent an e-mail that day informing me so) and I received them on Nov. 5. That's only 10 days from the Ukraine to New Mexico.

I this day and age, good dealers can be hard to come by.

Are you sure you don't mean Anya is a she Joe? Not sure on Alex, hope you're right, lol.

thought i saw an article on 'her'w/ photo.
she was a cutie but maybe it was another female russian camera dealer.

Maybe you are thinking of Anya (of Odessa) - I think Alex is a guy...

heheh
however, he/she has a super ikonta i'm eyeing, at a low price
so thanks for the recommendation

Oh wait...it's sold! :(

Anya posted some time ago on the BestStuff Rus camera forum telling about her last months off the camera business but travelling all across Europe due to her new job, it was good to hear from her.

I think I read somewhere that Grizly33Bear is a she as well, but never heard that about Alex...

'grizzly33bear' is actually a couple of people, one of them (Zhanna) is a woman.

I've been told that Zhanna is a professional model and very attractive. Her business partner is, I believe, named Alex.

I've purchased a number of FSU cameras and lens from grizzly33bear and have been pleased with the service.

Are you buying cameras or dealers???

First impressions last a long time. In reality, my first impression of almost anything I purchase is based heavily on the seller as much as the item. A good experience with a seller allows me to go and enjoy the item purchased.

I once bought a fairly nice shooter from a sorry sack of manure disguised as a camera dealer. For a long time, every time I looked at the item, I saw the sorry sack. I kept the camera long enough that I eventually was able to enjoy it without thinking the money-grubbin' rascal had got one over on me (which he didn't... I just didn't like the pompous vermin.)

Have I used enough name-calling or is further discription necessary? yukka-yukka...

So, "Are you buying cameras or dealers?" Sometimes both.

imho

P.S. - Any "Good Guy to Buy From" tips are always appreciated.

Same positive feeling I got about alex (alex-photo). I rushed out buying a 42mm slip-on hood, which turned out after i payed that it's SQUARE. So it's not too cool on my jupiter-8 when i also want to focus that thing:)
Anyway, i wrote him/her/whatever an e-mail that maybe- maybe- tere's a round 42mm hood in his stock, that he could send me instead of the square.
Got a short reply: 'Today i sent the package off with a ROUND hood to your address, should be there in 9-18 days, thank you.'
I'll see when it arrives, but so far it's a nice experience. All the fuss for only 3$ payed for that hood...

Alex (alex-photo and asr-photo) is definately a guy and a trustworthy seller. Anya sold a lot of cameras on ebay but then got herself a job traveling around Europe for a company.

I've never purchased anything from Grizzlybear.

Oleg no longer sells on ebay but has his own web site and also is the best repair person in the FSU business.
