Hi all, newbie on rangefinder....
I have my M6 classic and 50mm Noctliux coming to me, and I want to know if there is a nice leather camera case that would fit the camera and also the lens?
I am thinking about a nice padded tight fitting case, please advice manufacturer.

Wow, congratulations on the M6 and Noctilux! The lens has some obvious quirks but will do amazing things with low light and zero depth of field. I love it.
For my M6, I use a "half case" similar to the ones made in Italy by Luigi Crescenzi http://www.leicatime.com/. The case does not cover the lens or top plate. The cases are nice pieces of work in and of themselves and, I think, worth the money both to protect the camera and because of their own beauty and craftsmanship.
When the camera is out for shooting (which it often is!) it's protected against all kinds of ills: scratches and mars from the camera strap rings, fingers, minor dings, etc. When I'm not shooting it rests (with the half case on it) inside a shoulder bag. My lenses all came with leather cases, but I do not use them (or anything else except the compartments in a shoulder bag).
The shoulder bag I use is a Lowepro Stealth Reporter. It holds two bodies with the lenses pointed downward in sort of cradle and three or four other small (e.g., RF) lenses along with a few small accessories. It has a slot in the top so you can reach in and get a camera without opening the zipper top. It also has a rain fly you can drape over the top to keep rain out. And it's small. So one of those with the half case is all I want or need.
I am eagerly waiting to see if Luigi brings out cases for the Voigtlander rangefinders, too.

I know somebody who has an M5 and Noctilux and uses a Tamrac case (don't know the exact model) for regular SLR. Not elegant.

Z2Z, there's a small bag, the Domke FX5B, which allows you to carry a Leica body with lens attached, and a couple of extra lenses, or whatever else you may want to have with it. I got mine a couple of years ago, and it's a very practical bag for minimalist outings.
And, although not cheap, it's certainly inexpensive: around $60.

Well. it's not leather, and it's not terribly large, but it fits the M6 + 50/1.4 Summilux
(w/ hood removed and placed in a separate poket in the bag)... it's a small ballistic
nylon grey shoulder bag made by "The North Face" that I bought for recent trip to
Japan. Held the M6, passport, maps, etc. It's been discontinued and is about
USD 20.00, called "Sidekick" and considered a "Women's Item." We shop for what
we need, right?
I use it for it's day trip utility, and every day I head out with my camera(s). Holds the
M6--or Bessa-T with VF--and 40/1.4 Nokton+Hood and two rolls of film. No zippers
or "hook-n-loop"(Velcro), but one larger "flap" held closed by a magnet: quiet and
secure. Not padded, but it's used over my shoulder and comfortable enough to
leave there.
I also looked at the Crumpler "Aggat"... but it has a huge patch of hook-n-loop which
I was not interested in wrestling to get at my camera.
My M6 came with the Leica "Ready Case," and that's only good for the camera... now
stored with less used gear.
For longer trips, I use a Domke FX3. Light, holds four lenses, two bodies + Nikon
Coolpix950(infrared use)... film, maps, etc.

Leica has (or used to have,but I found mine on e-bay) two rather nice dedicated "kombi Taschen" , one small, one large,that literally fit your M6 like a glove, available for instance here:

Billingham makes nice cases. I use a small M outfit so I use their Hadley small case. It is a small and thin case and does not look too much like a camera bag. And if you take out the padding the bag turns into a nice looking normal bag.
I also use another Crumpler bag but after a while I find it a bit annoying because it is quiet hard to access the compartments.

If you want a fitted case, look at the Leica case for the M3 with "Eyes". It is heavier made than the standard case and may fit that big lens. They are fairly cheap, $20 got me one.
