Please accept my apologies in advance for starting yet another bag thread. And before you lose it, Bertram, my intentions are pure! I am asking in order to do more photography in my travels. I already carry my XA everywhere, but would like to be able to use my new RD1 daily as well (i.e. traveling to and from clients etc, I'm a consulting statistician.)

I'm looking for a professional looking satchel/case that will accommodate both my laptop, a few folders, and an M-sized camera (my RD1) and two to three lenses and sundries. I guess I'm looking for a case that resembles a briefcase and can incorporate the above. I have already ruled out the Domke 803 - 806 and clones because of the material. I need a case that looks dressy! I already have a great weekend/free time case. My laptop is 17 inches on the diagonal and the Billingham and Fogg cases I've seen don't fit. I may not have seen them all. Your recommendations are appreciated!

Buy any decent bag that suits your needs, then buy a camera insert of your liking, e.g. the Domke ones. That increases your choice by a factor. If ever I would feel the need for a camera bag, I'll probably go that road myself because I love the carry-everywhere bag that I already own.

Peter.
