Hi,
I'm looking to get a good light box with which to make digital contact prints / enlargements. Ideally it would be exactly 10x12 as that's the size I'll be printing at so I can just compose the contacts within the frame. Even lighting up to the edges is absolutely critical. The current light box I use is too small and is very uneven. Can anyone recommend one for me?

Thanks
Chris

How about the Kodak 10"x12" safe light? I regularly put one in the classifieds, along with Wratten filters for it.

Hi - do you have any info on the Kodak safe light? I can't seem to find anything on the web except adverts for filters. Would a safelight provide a sufficiently bright light source?

depends on the bulb you put in it

depends on the bulb you put in it

higher watt bulbs produce more light, in general.

Yup. I've been looking for pictures of it, is this the thing you mean?

If so, it seems like a good idea for negative viewing but probably not too suitable for my use, as ideally I need something shallower just to sit on a flat surface with a camera tripod mounted above it pointing down.

Yes

Yes

That's it. Mine is grey, and doesn't have the bracket, just the dome, with mounting holes and rings, and the bulb and cord go in the other end.
