Recommendations for ISO 400+ film for use in Rodinal

The problem with Tri-x in England is it cost freaking £3.99 a roll! That's unbelievable. The only cheapish way to get it is the 100ft bulk roll from Firstcall.

You may find it a lot dearer at Jessop!, HP5+ is £5-60!

Tri-X is only £3.39 at 7dayshop (free postage) dropping to £2.99 if you buy 10+ rolls...

I'm leaning towards TriX or Neopan now - but maybe i should just shoot the roll of HP5+ I have laying around and see what that's like first.

For film, try www.mathersoflancashire.co.uk - based in Bolton. Its a toss up between them and 7dayshop.com

Delta 400 or HP5 in DDX works for me, but I've never tried Rodinal

Diafine is really a nice choice. And I'm a Rodinal / Pyro guy ...

Your best bet is 120 film at ISO400. I like Tmax400 with Rodinal 1+50; two bath.

You can get Tri-X for £2.71 a roll at Calumet Photo (http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/Film+Darkroom/Film/Black+White+Films/). Tmax 400 is even cheaper (£2.62), but I prefer Tri-X.
