Recommended backpacks for travel and photo gear?

Hey everyone,

I am in need of a good travel backpack with specified padded pockets/holding compartments for one Canon 7D, one 24mm L lens, one Bessa R2M and a 35mm lens, and space for my 15" laptop. Ideally I would like a general large compartment for clothes etc., and straps on the bottom of the backpack for a sleeping bag. I also have a strange love of many, many pockets. I haven't found great in-store selection here in NYC, so I plan on buying online, but cannot decide on a backpack online, as there are so many different choices and I have been unable to find one that fits all my needs. Recommendations?

don't have one, but the gura gear kiboko is supposed to be the best for air travel.

You might also want to check out the Kinesis Gear modular pack. It's essentially a plain backpack with twin-buckle attachments inside and out. Yo can then buy modular cases in many shapes and sizes that you can attach to these twin-buckle attachments.

I use mine when I just want to travel with one bag without any checked in luggage. Caveat: while the Kinesis backpack meets the carry on maximum size limits for most US domestic flights, you may want to check int'l flight restrictions.
