Recommended lenses for Exa / Exacta?

For me, the very limited top shutter speed of 1/175 is what makes the Exas not very practical. So that, plus the vignetting, makes them basically good only for standard and wide angle lenses.

You're right, of course. I have a Ib, which is from the same time period, with the same basic body design, but has the M42 lens mount (useful) and the original shutter design (not so useful). It does have the interchangeable viewfinder, which I consider echt Exakta/Exa. I don't think they came out with an Exa with the 1/500 shutter and the interchangeable finder -- that would be the ultimate, regardless of the lens mount.
