Red arrow on Yashica CC

I just got a Yashica 35 CC, and I think there's a problem with it. The yellow arrow turns on when it's really dark, but the red arrow never ever comes on. I tested it pointing at my 100W light bulb at ISO 500 and f/1.8. The yellow light seems good, turning on when it should and the shutter speeds slow down a lot the darker it get so that's good. But what happened to my red arrow warning me of over exposure? Is there an easy fix for this?

On GSN deteriorated POD causes only one lamp to light (but can't remember, which exactly). After replacing POD, both lamps lit up when necessary. CC has a POD as I learned here recently. For me, POD seems to be a real candidate.

As already said the POD. Its not real hard to do, a lot of information for step by step tear down. I have done one on a MG-1, I took lots of pictures and labeled screws by location. Good luck.

How can I be sure that it is POD? Are there any tell tale signs? After searching it seems like people had trouble with their shutter speeds, but mine seems to work fine.

Also if it is POD, where can I find info step by step for the CC? The only information I found were for other yashica cameras unfortunately. This will be my first time trying to repair a camera so i'm going to need all the help i can get haha

If the shutter is slowing down as it gets darker, then it won't be a POD problem, it's probably a burned out light bulb. I find CC cameras with burned out bulbs from time to time, so it is a fairly common problem. They can burn out at any time. I have spares if you need one, but they have to be soldered in.

Since it is the red bulb, I wouldn't worry much about it, the shutter will stay open as long as it takes to get an exposure. If the yellow light goes out, you have a bigger problem, as the max speed is only 1/250 sec.
