So here it is, I was walking around Yokohama, yes, that’s what I do a lot since I retired. And, I saw a beautiful girl in a full length one piece red dress. Firstly, I love to photograph attractive women (and I find all women attractive) but mostly I love when a woman wears red. So, anyway, I see as I said a beautiful woman in red and I’ve got a camera in my hand, and I’m, pretty close to her but not close enough to get a good shot and then somebody steps in front of me and then suddenly she’s gone. Where did she go? I take a few more steps and then I see her again… holy bat guano she’s sitting in the passenger seat of a brand new Rolls Royce. The first thing I’m thinking is, damn! when did Rolls Royces become so ugly? My God, this car is a monstrosity… who would buy such a tank? Well, it doesn't matter, because I don’t own it, the girl in the red dress is in it, I didn’t get the shot, and all I have is the memory of the girl in the red dress that got away. So it goes, the really rich people are still really rich and driving expensive ugly cars and the poor people like me walk around with expensive cameras hanging around their necks looking for a good shot. Life goes on.
All the best,
Mike
