Regarding our Jocko..

Lynn - thank you so much for the update and it's a relief to know he is OK if somewhat battered. I had been worrying about him as he is a highly valued friend. Do pass on my very best when you speak and I will find a means of communicating with him.

I was going to make a bad joke about hopping but it seems I have been beaten to it!

Best wishes

Please give Ian my regards as well. I had a similar injury when I dumped a quad bike in Mexico and it wasn't a fun recovery! All the best to him.

Oh man. Get well soon Ian. That sucks quite a lot. Before you know it you'll be back though. Time always flies. :)

Ian is an excellent bloke and I love his posts, he's easily one of the wittiest people here. Pity he's a clumsy sod. ;) Please wish him a speedy recovery and tell him we miss him!

Couldn't agree more. Hope he's well soon.

Lynn,

Thank you for the information. I certainly hope that he is on the mend and will be up and about in good time. Ian's kind comments were always very inspiring to me. It's people like him that make this site such a valuable resource. Please give him my best wishes and tell him to listen to "Fish Heads" whenever he is feeling down.

All the best,

Bill

My very best to Jocko

My very best to Jocko

Hope you are comfortable and pain free. You'll bounce back soon and rejoin us here at the RFF. Take care, stay well, we miss you.

Sitting here with my foot up after surgery, I can sympathise. Wish him well - now he has time to read the pdf's of the BJP Crawley articles from 61-2 I sent him! :) Well, something good has to come from it.

Cheers,

wishing you mend well and quickly. maybe a good time to sort/file/futz about with negatives and/or prints?

a few decades ago after i thrashed myself, one onery/fickle/dangerous/really fun kawasaki h2 (two stroke 750cc) and a too-curvey exit a friend lent me his camera while i was laid up. the beginnings of it all...

breathe, relax, and enjoy.

Poor fellow!! The man needs a laptop! Seriously, get well Jocko. Hope to see you back here soon. :D

Get well soon Jocko. Being a humerous sort you will probably enjoy setting off alarms in airports once you are well thanks to the hardware in your leg. You will be up and about before you know it. I look forward to reading many more of your posts.

Lynn,

Please pass on my best regards as well. Hope he heals quickly and is up and around soon.

Someone should give him a camera and lots of film, too!

Yes. I was hospitalized last year and had about five minutes to grab a few bits with the help of the ambulance technicians. A few days later I saw what great photo opps there were around my room - but no camera... Maybe another time!

See you back soon mate.
