i just love that site!!

i even read the digital stuff and articles whose topics i have no interest in!!

there is a new article about the zm 25 and the leica 24 and, in part, he talks about bokeh and i could not agree with him more.

the reviews are well balanced and sensible and it's so very clear that the man writing is a user and not some techie that reads numbers and decides what is good for me.

i like the photo examples and the common sense descriptions attached.

the writing is easy, clear and no double talk.

to be honest, i had doubts about paying for a site that reviews camera gear when there is an internet full of information for free.

but it's totally worth it.

Actually, I subscribed after hearing your post.

Reading reviews of stuff I'll never even buy, as you say the reviews are written out of the arsehole a lot of pixel peeping reviewers seem to be huddled in.

I also realised my R2a back door is magnesium - I'd been thinking it was plastic!

I subscribed very early on and I am looking forward to every new review, even if I am not really interested in the topic.
Great writing and I love the conclusion based on Sean's preferences of style. Very subjective objective!

First let me say that I realy like the way Sean writes about cameras and lenses and i value his opinions a lot.
I did not subscribe however because i am not interested in the majority of camera gear he writes about. I simply have no interest in Zeiss or Canon 5d or Leica DMR....
So why would i even read those articles ....?
Tha't's the same reason i stopped reading photomagazines: most are filled with advertising and productreviews.

Joe, I too am a subscriber, but I disagree with your statement that the fee is well worth it. 😛

The site is worth much more than the small fee Sean charges!!! 😀 😎

These are superb discussions of equipment in relation to what each piece might do to enhance your photography. An important proviso! In contrast to other reviews which only evaluate equipment from a purely technical point of view.
