OK , I took the vinyl off my Oleg Kiev 4 ,which I admit was in excellent condition [ but I don't care !
it seems to have been part refixed with a contact adhesive [ the back had dried stuff which I can't ID ]

Obviously the camera was taken apart when cla / fixed before sale .
Which I guess is why it was easy to strip .

I have cut the new tan leather - ex-bookbinding scraps - and applied tan polish to age the sides and face ...

Now , what glue do I use to fix it ?

Thanks guys .

f it works .. next up a refurbed kiev 2 or 2a . Ok , it might be sacrilege , but they do look good in tan leather !
This camera wili be for using , not collecting , so I want something that I like !

When I asked my bookbinder acquaintance, among other glues (perhaps a little harder to get) he advised, were Gorilla Glue. The do in fact use it. He suggested it when I questioned him about some old folders I want to fix. He recommended slightly wetting the leather before using it, and using a very thin layer. So far I have only used it to repair a Gossen Luna Pro case where the leather that has the snap had broken loose on one side. I had to hold it together for a while, but it worked perfectly.
