My favourite russian camera is the ZoRki S .
But only in black ! i have a couple of matt chrome ones with thick black gloss toplates with ... how shall I say ? ... imaginative ''Olympic'' engraving which are a delight.
my katest however all in black [ see icon ] looks fantastic but is really stiff to wind, and there is a black riing in the Industar 22 which keeps falling out.
It's under warranty, do i send it back to russia or keep it ?
Black ones don't apperar that often without "'leica '' stuff on them ..

If the "black ring" is the felt ring behind the collapsible optical goup, you can just put a dab of glue or double stick tape to keep it in place. It's just a shock bumper.

Black was not a factory color for these cameras. If the re-paint job was not done properly, paint could have seeped into the mechanical portion of the camera. That could be the reason that is "stiff to wind".

I see that you are in the UK. Shipping might be less costly for you than from the US. Here, if you get one that works, it is usually most cost effective to keep it or sell it to someone in the US in order to buy another.

Thanks everyone.
araxfoto has agreed to take it back and fix my reluctant ZS.
So i shall see how good a job he does with it.
I just lurve the style of the camera , and have anothr super smooth '' Olympic '' leica copy Zs from moscowin chrome and black , but the standard Zorki S is not so pretty !
