Remade Zorki I

An interesting and novel idea, but I don't know. Call me paranoid, but I see lots of light leak possibilities there.

i wondered too about the possibility of modifying a bottom loader ... but having loaded 2 rolls cutting the lead as required, it really isn't that difficult once you get the hang of it.

even more cool would be to cram something like the digilux 2 or pana LX1 with a larger sensor into a zorki or barnack leica!

Won't be doing that, because I had the same thought!

OT: I was checking out your sig. Looks like you need a Zorki 5 & 6 to complete the collection! :D

I think that once you load it, you have to cover the outsides with a couple layers of duct tape, ya know, just like regular Zorkis. :)

You mean that silver stuff that comes on a roll? No comrade, that's only duct tape in Amerdika. In the Motherland we call that fine photographic accessory "a roll of camera case."

Oh no! Not the silver stuff, always use the US MilSpec dark green or black duct tapes, the silver tape is for those fancy people whats drinks their beer from a glass rather than the bottle it was meant to be drunk from.

Well, actually I must confess, the silver I purchased isn't actually authentic. I bought at the Bay from a guy who swears it's "Rare Leica Copy" silver. But I got a good deal. Only $3 ... plus $42.50 shipping... per roll. :(
