Nope........but it's kinda cool. Isn't it?

hey, they're only Zorkis
An interesting and novel idea, but I don't know. Call me paranoid, but I see lots of light leak possibilities there.

i wondered too about the possibility of modifying a bottom loader ... but having loaded 2 rolls cutting the lead as required, it really isn't that difficult once you get the hang of it.
even more cool would be to cram something like the digilux 2 or pana LX1 with a larger sensor into a zorki or barnack leica!

It looks like a home workshop job, thank goodness it is out of warranty by a decade or five!

Won't be doing that, because I had the same thought!
OT: I was checking out your sig. Looks like you need a Zorki 5 & 6 to complete the collection!

I think that once you load it, you have to cover the outsides with a couple layers of duct tape, ya know, just like regular Zorkis.

You mean that silver stuff that comes on a roll? No comrade, that's only duct tape in Amerdika. In the Motherland we call that fine photographic accessory "a roll of camera case."BillFoto said:I think that once you load it, you have to cover the outsides with a couple layers of duct tape, ya know, just like regular Zorkis.![]()

Oh no! Not the silver stuff, always use the US MilSpec dark green or black duct tapes, the silver tape is for those fancy people whats drinks their beer from a glass rather than the bottle it was meant to be drunk from.

Well, actually I must confess, the silver I purchased isn't actually authentic. I bought at the Bay from a guy who swears it's "Rare Leica Copy" silver. But I got a good deal. Only $3 ... plus $42.50 shipping... per roll.BillFoto said:"... the silver tape is for those fancy people whats drinks their beer from a glass rather than the bottle it was meant to be drunk from."

I think I bought a postage scale from that seller....$0.01 for the scale and $19.99 for the S&H.
