I just got a Canon LTM 50mm f1.8 and to me the infinity lock on the bottom of the lens is just annoying. Is there a way to remove this lock so it doesn't click on its own every time I put it into the infinity?
I tried to unscrew the little button from behind the lens but it seems like it's not loosening anything. Anyone has ever done this before?

Here should be thread on RFF how to without filing. I did and modified it for M mount 3 to 9 positions. Infinity stop now in the middle of focus pin travel.
It takes long time to unscrew this pin.

You can unscrew it, but you need to hold the button in such a way that it will not rotate. And of course you'd want to do this without ruining the button so that you can reinstall it if you should want sell it later. Something rubbery with a lot of grip.

I did it on my Canon 50 1.4, its not hard to do it.
