I obviously picked up the wrong type of LTM/M adapter for my screw mount Summaron, early version. As it was I could not focus to infinity since the lock knob would jam to the adapter. Since I don't see why the the focus ring should be locked at infinity I decided to remove the locking knob. I couldn't find any proper tool so I filed a flat screw driver bit to fit the two holes in the screw. The other end is cone shaped with nothing to grip on to so I put a piece of rubber cable insulation over it and used a pair of pliers to hold it.
After this operation the focus now goes to infinity. The LTM/M adapter is an original Leica 13,5 cm "type 2". I learned the hard way that I should have bought the "type 1".
